Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the HD QR Code website (https://hdqrcode.com) and associated digital utilities. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all provisions, you must discontinue use immediately.

1. Description of Service

HD QR Code provides free, client-side digital utility software for generating static 2D QR codes, inspecting barcode contrast and quiet zones, and repairing degraded barcode bitstreams.

All QR matrix calculations, SVG vector rendering, and optical image analysis execute within the visitor's browser. We do not host your destination web pages, control third-party content, or maintain redirect servers between your code and your destination URL.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use HD QR Code only for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms. You specifically agree not to encode, link to, or distribute QR codes that contain or facilitate:

  • Phishing scams, fraudulent schemes, deceptive impersonation, or credential theft.
  • Malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, or other malicious code.
  • Illegal gambling, counterfeit goods, or unlawful controlled substances.
  • Defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, or hateful content.
  • Content that infringes upon patents, trademarks, copyrights, or other intellectual property rights.

Additionally, you agree not to launch automated scripts, scrapers, bots, or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) requests intended to degrade, disrupt, or impair the website or its API endpoints.

3. Mandatory Physical Print Testing Requirement

Important Commercial Print Notice:

While HD QR Code incorporates ISO/IEC 18004 standards, optical contrast estimators, and 300 DPI sizing calculations, real-world scanning depends heavily on physical printing factors beyond our control—including paper finish (matte vs. glossy glare), ink bleeding, curvature, ambient lighting, and variable camera sensors.

You are strictly required to print a 1:1 physical proof and test it using multiple smartphone cameras under realistic lighting before commissioning or committing to commercial print runs (e.g., thousands of business cards, menus, packaging boxes, or billboards).

4. Disclaimer of Warranties ("AS IS")

Please read this section carefully as it limits our liability

THE SITE, UTILITIES, GENERATED ASSETS, AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, HD QR CODE AND ITS OPERATOR DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF BUGS, NOR DO WE WARRANT THAT GENERATED QR CODES WILL SCAN SUCCESSFULLY ON EVERY OPTICAL READER OR DEVICE UNDER ALL ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HD QR CODE, ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, DATA, USE, COMMERCIAL REPRINTING OR RE-MANUFACTURING COSTS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU (IF ANY) TO ACCESS THE SITE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($50.00 USD), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Your Content and Generated Codes: You retain full ownership of all data, text, URLs, and trademarks you input into the generator. The resulting QR code graphics generated from your inputs belong to you. You may use them for personal, commercial, or editorial purposes with no royalties, license fees, or attribution required.
  • Site Content and Software: The website design, layout, logo, code, scripts, documentation, and graphics are the exclusive property of HD QR Code, protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and trade dress laws.
  • Trademark Notice: "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED in Japan and other countries.

7. Third-Party Advertisements and Links

The website displays third-party advertisements (including Google AdSense) and links to external resources or web pages. We do not control, endorse, monitor, or assume any responsibility for the accuracy, legality, safety, or quality of products, services, or content offered by third-party advertisers or external websites linked to or encoded within QR codes. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

8. Termination and Access Restrictions

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to terminate, suspend, or restrict access to all or part of the website and associated API endpoints without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, harms our infrastructure, or infringes upon the rights of others.
