About HD QR Code

A free, browser-based utility for creating, verifying, and repairing standard-compliant QR codes.

Who Maintains HD QR Code

HD QR Code is maintained by an independent digital engineering and pre-press software team. The project was created to solve widespread reliability issues with physical barcode printing and to provide high-resolution, standards-compliant (ISO/IEC 18004) vector tools with direct static encoding and strict client-side data privacy.

We believe essential 2D barcode utilities should operate transparently—without forced account registrations, expiring dynamic redirects, or recurring subscription fees.

To get in touch with our team regarding feature suggestions, technical questions, or business inquiries, please reach out through our secure contact form. All inquiries are received directly and reviewed promptly by our technical administration.

How HD QR Code is Funded

HD QR Code is free to use without requiring an account, registration, or paid subscription. The website is supported by online advertising once ads are live. This advertising model allows us to maintain ongoing hosting, domain registration, and tool development while keeping standard vector QR generation accessible to everyone at zero cost.

How the Tools Work

All barcode matrix generation, optical validation, and image repairs run locally on your device inside your web browser:

Client-side architecture: payload encoding and computer vision decoders execute exclusively in device RAM.
  • Client-Side Processing: When you enter a destination URL, Wi-Fi password, or vCard details, JavaScript calculates the Reed-Solomon error correction and renders the pixel matrix directly onto an HTML5 Canvas or vector SVG in memory. Your raw payload is not uploaded to our backend servers.
  • In-Browser Decode Testing: Our preview performs an immediate decode check against the generated bitstream in your browser to confirm that the matrix is optically readable before you download the file.
  • Direct Static Architecture: Generated QR codes encode your destination data directly into the black and white pixel patterns. They do not pass through proprietary intermediate redirect servers.
  • Computer Vision Repair: The repair feature applies image processing filters (contrast adjustment, polarity inversion, and edge binarization) directly in local browser memory to recover unreadable bitstreams and output clean replacement vectors.
